Goin' down, down, down...
download account suspended... only a handful of files are still up.
Gonna think about a way out of this.
So I'm gonna take a break. Hope to see you all again in a little while.

Little random treasurehunt
It's "little random treasure appreciation month".
A selection of my collection that I really like. Let's kick of with this one :
Wonderful soundtrack to a lazy Sunday ... (too bad I have to work in a few hours)
You will notice they left out a track on the back-sleeve of the record. The 'info' file I added, contains the correct tracklisting.

The last Diva has left the building
I love these BB tunes.
And her voice is so iconic and connected to his music... it's like they are inseparable.
And her voice is so iconic and connected to his music... it's like they are inseparable.
As you may have noticed. I'm experiencing some difficulties with my download services. I'm experimenting a bit here. Don't mentioning title or artist might keep the 'robots' away from discovering me. Other tips are always welcome in the comments.
I don't like the idea of going private...
My whole purpose with this blog is to have people 'stumble' upon it and have them discover this kind of music. A kind of music they might have looked down upon, or they've forgotten...
Going private means that the only visitors will be people who already know this kind of music, and who already can appreciate it.
You see, I love recruiting new souls into Lounge and Easy-heaven ;-)
It's the last day of March. So the last Diva has left the building.
If all goes well I will be starting the new theme tomorrow. (so you'll be gettin' two this weekend !)
So come and visit.

Déja Vu
My files just keep disappearing... no warning, no e-mail, nothing...
I'm trying to stay afloat, but don't be surprised when something is vanished. I can't help it...

Monsieur Maurice made a request...
if I could post a record of his favorite diva ? I asked him why ???
He said she made his whiskers curl ;-)
Side 1
01 Fascinating Man
02 Mademoiselle Kitt
03 Oggere
04 Lisbon Antigua
05 Just An Old Fashioned Girl
01 Lazy Afternoon
02 Johnny
03 If I Can't Take It With Me
04 Thursday's Child
05 Lullaby Of Birdland (*)
(*) Now I must add that there is a BIG skip in 'Lullabye of Birdland', and it has nothing to do with the fact that Monsieur Maurice sometimes jumps on my turntable (even if that is absolutely off limits !). It was that way when I bought it... so if any of you happen to own a good 'spare track', feel free to add it.

Sorry 'bout the hiatus ...
I was a bit in a funk after the whole DMCA debacle. Had a deja-vu of files disappearing one after the other...
But I've crawled out of my funk and here's Diva n° 2.
The wonderful Quincy Jones conducts.
This is the Dutch pressing. Couldn't find a release date on this. But you may know the US pressing with this sleeve, released 1961
